30 or 78 miles- These very demanding routes leave Highway 20 between Nice and Lucerne to travel through the back country with about one-half over dirt roads. There is good camping on these trips so you might want to plan an overnight camping stop. You will have an introduction to the Mendocino National Forest, Baldy Mountain Trail and Blue Ridge Trail (both hiking and nature trails) in the Bureau of Land Management areas.
