Guided Nature Walks at Rodman Slough Preserve, Upper Lake
Lake County Land Trust hosts guided nature walks every Saturday morning at 8 a.m, June through August, and 9 a.m., September through May. Wear good walking shoes, bring binoculars. No dogs. Langtry Estate and Vineyard Tours, Middletown
Guided tours of the historic vineyard travel to the higher elevation of Tephra Ridge for spectacular views of Guenoc Valley. EcoArts: Lake County Sculpture Walk, Middletown
The sixth annual exhibit of sculptures “in dialogue with nature” is ready for viewing June through October 2008. Stroll along the center trail of the 107 acre county park to view the sculptural expressions of award winning artists, local schools and community groups. Sensible shoes and water are recommended. Take a Hike! On Boggs Mountain, Cobb
Friends of Boggs Mountain members lead the hikes twice per month on the trails of Boggs Mountain State Forest. A moderate four to five mile long hike taking two to four hours to complete. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and bring ample water. Meet at 9 a.m. at the covered kiosk in the Boggs parking lot on Forestry Road. No charge. Call for dates. Info: 707-928-5819.
